Queens Of The Stone Ages Singer, Josh Homme, Collapses Onstage

HAMBURG Germany (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) – According to Billboard, Queens Of The Stone Age were forced to cancel a German gig earlier this week after singer Josh Homme collapsed onstage.

The singer fainted at the end of the band’s show on Monday in Hamburg’s Grosse Freiheit 36 (August 29) and was immediately rushed to a local doctor.

Following doctor’s orders, the group pulled their show the next night at Stuttgart’s Theaterhaus (August 31).

A statement posted by QOTSA on their official website qotsa.com said: “Unfortunately, QOTSA had to cancel tonight's show in Stuttgart, Germany, after Josh Homme was diagnosed with exhaustion and ordered to bed by a local doctor.”

They added: “He has been performing every night on this tour despite his physical condition (due to a knee operation less than a week before he left for tour), and it finally caught up with him. He is resting now and in a stable condition.”

The band has been plagued with bad luck over recent months. They were due to debut songs from their latest album ’Lullabies To Paralyze’ in the UK but Homme was taken ill before the first attempt, and the rescheduled dates were thwarted by the London bombings (July 7).

The star’s knee injury occurred whilst the band were performing in Australia. The torn tendons required surgery and the group were forced to pull out of a scheduled appearance on ’Jimmy Kimmel Live’.

QOTSA are due to soldier on with their remaining European dates, and are still set to hit the road for a co-headlining US.
