Travis Kelce was featured in the recent Bud Light commercial that the company produced to save face. Bud Light recently faced heavy backlash after they signed Trans social media star Dylan Mulvaney to promote their product.
However, the masses didn’t like the commercial and started a boycott trend on social media. This resulted in massive losses for the beer company. Interestingly, they used the Chiefs TE to get the public support back with the traditional ‘Backyard Grunts‘ commercial.
Sadly, this one backfired as well, and it has managed to get just 150k views in a day and a half. The new commercial is titled Backyard Grunt, and its main motive is to get the male drinkers back after the Mulvaney disaster.
In the commercial, Kelce is seen hanging around with his friends at a BBQ, and all of them open a can of Bud Light with a comforting grunt. However, the marketing ploy didn’t work in their favor. On top of that, the Chiefs TE also faces the possibility of a boycott for associating himself with the brand.
Bud Light is the official beer of the NFL. However, the fallout from two consecutive commercials has cost them billions, and their market share has suffered tremendously. Travis Kelce wasn’t able to save the NFL’s official beer, which is now worth less than water in some parts of the country.

Bud Light is an influential beer brand in the United States and has a massive market share. However, some marketing methods don’t work for the company, and even Travis Kelce can’t help them.
In essence, their primary customer base was men in their middle ages. Therefore, when they signed a Trans social media star to promote them, it led to a massive backlash, resulting in tremendous losses for the company.
On the other hand, Trans social media star Dylan Mulvaney later accused the brand of leaving him hanging amidst all the online abuse. Currently, the brand is in a precarious position and looks forward to one of the most popular players in the NFL, Travis Kelce. However, it seems like Bud Light will have to take some days off and approach the controversy with a different method altogether.
